You can help your trusty reindeer by making them a little more aggressive. They can be different in their behavior, so you should choose the one that best fits your situation, or just hit the button to rid yourself of them.

Right button on screen to summon reindeer from the right
Be patient, and keep in mind the platforms you destroyed, and the consequences. Use the reindeers in a sticky position, but be aware that they are chaotic (dumb animals ...)).
